FRENCH FOR TRAVELLERS WORKSHOPS

Level: 1 & 2
When: Fridays
Time: 9am - 10:30am
Where: Maroochydore Library (Support Building - Small Room), 44 Sixth Avenue, Cotton Tree QLD 4558

Each workshop is limited to 7 participants.

Speak and understand basic French in 7 weeks (Maroochydore) is now possible.

Parlez-vous Francais? With our tailor-made 7-weeks workshops for Travellers,  you'll be on your way to conversing with the locals in no time.

The unique visual approach of the resources used makes learning a language quick, easy and fun. Real-life examples cover every holiday and business situation.

The workshops include a 10 to 20  minutes Forum: "bons plans - mauvais plans" in which participants will have the opportunity to share their travel experiences, to exchange tips regarding transport, hotels, taxi rides, guided tours, safety issues etc... as well as "must see, must do" sites and activities outside the tourist tracks.
More specific/targeted topics can easily be added to the French for Travellers Workshop to suit the participant's needs.

Basic topics such as: Finding your way - Transports - Making arrangements - Accommodation and Health-related issues will be covered.

Each workshop is independent from the others so you can attend whenever it suits your schedule: You can purchase individual sessions or all of them!

Please note that these workshops are not language courses, and therefore they are not aimed at the complete beginners with no French basis. For the Beginner Level, we recommend that the participants have a minimum of 15 hours of French learning.

"Pick and choose" gives you the flexibility to purchase only the workshops that you wish to attend. Please choose carefully as we do not offer a refund if you cannot attend or if you change your mind.

TO ORDER: Please select either  YES (+ $25.00) or  NO for all the sessions, then click on 'Order'.

Please contact Eva for more info on the workshops

Our mission

The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting French language, culture, literature and history on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and to encourage French-Australian cultural exchange and friendship.

The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast provides the opportunity for friends of French language and culture to come together in a very welcoming, non-political and non-religious environment.

Our Committee

The AFSC committee is composed of enthusiastic local Francophiles happy to bring their skills and experience to offer a range of services and events to the Sunshine Coast community.

We also encourage volunteers to join us in order to help out at events.

If you are interested in becoming involved with your Alliance, please contact us.

Our Community

Our members make our Alliance great. We meet frequently each month to celebrate the love for all things French : 1st Saturday of the month at the Loose Goose in Twin Waters - 3rd Saturday of the month at la Maison du Pâtissier at Meridan Plains and last Saturday of the month at the Coolum Surf Club.

We bring you the French Film Festival each year (April- June) and we celebrate La Galette des Rois, Bastille Day and le Beaujolais Nouveau throughout the year.
