CLUB DÉJEUNER - THE EDGE IN MONTVILLE

I am delighted to let you know that we have a spectacular venue planned for our next Club Déjeuner - The Edge Restaurant in Montville on Thursday 11th September.

I shall be away for a couple of months but I know you will enjoy a wonderful Bastille Day lunch at The Loose Goose in July and there will be no Club Déjeuner meeting in August.  

However, as soon as I return, I hope to see you at The Edge where once again we can enjoy some stimulating French conversations, catch up with friends and marvel at the spectacular views of the Hinterland from this magnificent vantage point.

As usual, I will ask for a small cash donation of $5 for AFSC from everyone who attends the Déjeuner (and $10 if you bring a guest who is not a member of Alliance Française) and we will all individually pay the restaurant for our choice of meals and drinks.

Please mark the date in your diary and register your intention to join us as soon as possible as numbers will once again be limited.   These monthly get-togethers are proving so popular, and are a marvellous way of enriching our appreciation of the French language that has brought us all together, and of developing new and lasting friendships.

I can't wait to see you in September!

Our mission

The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting French language, culture, literature and history on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and to encourage French-Australian cultural exchange and friendship.

The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast provides the opportunity for friends of French language and culture to come together in a very welcoming, non-political and non-religious environment.

Our Committee


The AFSC committee is composed of enthusiastic local Francophiles happy to bring their skills and experience to offer a range of services and events to the Sunshine Coast community.

We also encourage volunteers to join us in order to help out at events. If you are interested in becoming involved with your Alliance, please contact us.

The Committee is aware that your privacy is important. This is why our Privacy Policy and Procedure is updated on a regular basis. 

Our Community

Our members make our Alliance great. We meet frequently each month to celebrate the love for all things French : we meet once a month at the Loose Goose in Twin Waters, once a month at the Power Boat Club in Caloundra and once a month at the Peregian Springs Golf Course. We have a Club Déjeuner once a month where members can enjoy a wonderful and friendly meal while discovering  fabulous restaurants on the Sunshine Coast.  bring you the French Film Festival each year (April- June) and we celebrate La Galette des Rois, la fête de la Francophonie, la fête de la Musique, Bastille Day and Le Beaujolais Nouveau throughout the year.
