Club Déjeuner - La Vie en Rose

The idea behind the lunches is that we meet for conversation in French  (different levels are always catered for, so you don't need to be fluent)  over a light lunch in cafés and restaurants from Noosa to Caloundra and probably in the future we will extend up into the Hinterland.

The standard of our French conversation will improve  and we will be supporting local businesses, many of whom are doing it tough in the current economic climate.

Every venue has agreed that we can pay individually for whatever we order, which makes the whole thing viable from my perspective.

This has worked perfectly on our first meerings and encourages me to keep going!

Numbers will be kept to a maximum of 15-20 depending on the venue, which will ensure that conversations flow easily and that everyone feels included.

Occasionally there may be a very special reason for having more guests if the venue is suitable,  but if that happens we will let you know in advance

Our mission

The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting French language, culture, literature and history on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and to encourage French-Australian cultural exchange and friendship.

The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast provides the opportunity for friends of French language and culture to come together in a very welcoming, non-political and non-religious environment.

Our Committee

The AFSC committee is composed of enthusiastic local Francophiles happy to bring their skills and experience to offer a range of services and events to the Sunshine Coast community.

We also encourage volunteers to join us in order to help out at events.

If you are interested in becoming involved with your Alliance, please contact us.

Our Community

Our members make our Alliance great. We meet frequently each month to celebrate the love for all things French : 1st Saturday of the month at the Loose Goose in Twin Waters -2nd Saturday of the month in Noosa -  3rd Saturday of the month at la Maison du Pâtissier at Meridan Plains and last Saturday of the month at the Coolum Surf Club.

We bring you the French Film Festival each year (April- June) and we celebrate La Galette des Rois, Bastille Day and le Beaujolais Nouveau throughout the year.
