Level "B2 Advanced" Objectives:
  • Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation.
  • Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
  • Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

In this class, the accent is on promoting communication and fluency skills.

  • Monday - 9:00am to 10:30am at Noosa > Deckroom (Verity NEWETT)
Note: A minimum of 6 students is required for this class to go ahead. The AFSC reserves the right to cancel this class if a minimum of 6 students enrolled is not reached, in which case alternative classes or products will be offered.
A valid membership is required in order to enroll in this course
Objectives

Conversation-based Advanced Level Class:

  • Culture : French geography and interesting places to visit, history and anecdotes about well-known French personalities, topical events, literature, famous characters, food.
  • Writing : short presentations, debate/discussion preparation, grammar exercises using a themed approach (regular homework including corrections).
  • Dictations.
  • Listening to/understanding audio documents, French news via internet. Speaking : debates, discussions and conversation between students on various topics including a dash of French politics!
All of the above using various media (online exercises, CDs, DVDs, books and handouts).
