Best Wishes From Our President

January 8, 2019.

Bonne Année à toutes et à tous,

On behalf of all the Team of the Alliance française de la Sunshine Coast, I would like to wish you all the best for 2019.

We have a beautiful year ahead and we are all ready to organise events, to meet you at our Café Conversation and of course to share our love for French thanks to our wonderful teachers.

 New Year, new committee!

I would like to introduce our new committee members:
Gabrielle Dechamps – Committee Member
Nicky Hallahan - Treasurer
Barbara Doherty - Secretary
Valerie Lewis – Vice President
Clementine Pain – President

We are really happy to have our teachers by our side doing a wonderful work giving high quality French Classes: Emile Matyja, Eva Simonet, Cécile Couper, Verity Newett. Cécile and Verity have accepted the roles of Administration Coordinator and Class Coordinator and will work with Teachers and Committee members. We cannot wait to work as a team and provide the best quality teaching.

We will continue to deliver classes in Mountain Creek and in Noosa. Classes will start on the 21st of January. Please visit our website for more information: https://www.afsunshinecoast.org.au/
We will also consolidate our Skype program and increase our very popular Conversation Workshops with new sessions this year.

We will start the festivities with our first Café Conversation on the 9th of February at the Loose Goose followed by our second one on the 16th of February at la Maison du Pâtissier (with a tasting of our Australia “grand cru” Galette des Rois). From March, we will continue the same system as the previous year with our Café Conversations on:
We are also extremely excited to have our 12th French Film Festival coming on the Sunshine Coast at the beginning of  May. We will be working with Christine Maudy who is an expert in the field and we cannot wait to have the Festival again in Noosa, Nambour and Caloundra!
In July, we will organise our Bastille Day and in November the Beaujolais Nouveau. What a year to come!

I would like to thank you all for the support and giving us the opportunity to offer our French Classes and organise events that are important for us. Without you, we would not be able to offer such a good service.

We would like to remind you of the importance of renewing your membership as it offers you reduction to all our events and the access to our online library with thousands of contents in French, la Culturethèque.

I wish you again a wonderful year 2019 and as we say in my family: “Bonne Année, Bonne Santé mais pas des pieds*…”
